A blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Petit Verdot grown on our Swan Valley vineyards. Aged in French oak then blended together just prior to bottling. Our aim is to create a Tuscan style wine using the two Bordeaux varieties to achieve a stylish red wine with finesse and tannin structure to compliment.
The wine opens up with some red cherry, spice, violets and dark fruit notes. Shows nice subtle oak integration and a tannin structure that is firm but not high. The wine has some nice complex earthy notes which are very attractive. A nice persistent finish which is fine and dry. Cellaring potential nicely to 2027.
A perfect accompaniment with wood-fired oven roasts, pizza and rustic homely foods.
